- According to sources at the club, someone aboard a Verizon-sponsored Keith Urban tour bus emptied the vehicle's
- septic tank outside the East 11th Street club at 3 a.m., after the show. "There was about 150 square feet of gunk, a half an inch think, outside the main entrance," says one employee. "It was a literal [expletive] show."
Adds the source: "I imagine it was some drunk pulling an April Fools' prank, because I can't imagine anyone in their right mind doing that on purpose."
- The bus, which had been idling in front of the club all day, pulled away 30 minutes after
- dumping the mess.
Back in 2004, the Dave Matthews Band was sued by the state of Illinois after its driver dumped 800 pounds of human waste from the group's tour bus into the Chicago River, drenching passengers on a nearby architectural-tour boat. The driver was sentenced to 18 months of probation and 150 hours of community service.
- Urban's rep said of last week's incident: "It wasn't an official Keith Urban bus. We had none parked outside." A spokeswoman for Verizon says, "It was just a lot of filthy gray water from the bus' sink.""... from NY Post, Richard Johnson
